Top Three Vegan Makeup Brands

I don’t often do a full face of makeup because I’m not that talented in that area but I do love makeup for my eyes and lips. For me, I’m huge on a good red lipstick that is not too bright but not too dark. Unfortunately, I’m still looking for that color but in the meantime, I have found a few brands I liked on the way. Today I’m going to share with you my top 3 makeup brands that I use!

  Lip Bar

In the past, I have used a few lip products but this one here takes the cake.

One of my first introductions to Lip Bar was in the dusty clearance section with splotches of what looked like coffee spilled and some white powdery stuff sprinkled like fairy dust on the floor and shelves in the back of the store. Looking back now it was probably not the most sanitary considering it was also in the clearance section. The videos I’ve seen on social media… But hey they were cheap so I had no complaints.

One of my favorite products from their brand was the “Ms. Independent” lip gloss and the “Bawse Lady” lipstick.  Compared to some particular brands it doesn’t feel as if you bought paint from a hardwood store and let it dry on your lips. It has a moisturizing feel to it and it’s highly pigmented so not much is needed, perfect for darker toned lips.

Lip Bar is completely vegan and cruelty-free which I was very excited to learn because they are also a black women-owned business. They try to use mostly natural ingredients so you don’t possibly die from all them chemicals…Lol… That wasn’t their words.

PROS

*Pigmented

*Smooth

*Vegan and Cruelty-Free

*Black Owned

*Woman Owned

  Elf

Elf, the drugstore vegan makeup. It is on the cheaper end but I have not found any issues with the quality of the products. However, again, I’m not much of a makeup person so take my word about makeup with a grain of salt.

I bought a makeup haul a while ago which included foundation and concealer, however, I really only use their “SRSLY Satin” lipstick and their “Eyeliner Pen”. The eyeliner container surprisingly has lasted a long time, now I haven’t consistently worn eyeliner but I have used it a lot. I also bought their pencil eyeliner which didn’t last long. The tip broke somehow when I was using it.

Unfortunately, when I first bought their eyeliner they only had two selections of brown and black available. I’m always looking for brightly colored eyeliner so I’m excited to say that brightly colored eyeliner is now available at Elf.

  Yvaexpression

When anime and vegan makeup combine it creates this beauty. I was really excited when I found this brand because not only is it black-owned but it was also vegan.

As I said before I was searching in the past for a brighter eyeliner, more specifically a white eyeliner, when I came across this brand. Originally I only had plans to buy the eyeliner by itself but the packaging was so dag on cute so I also bought the lipglosses. One of the lipglosses is a lovely pinkish-orange color with a cute bunny design on the front of a traditional lipgloss container called “Sunset Lipgloss”. The other one is a plain clear lipgloss with an original anime character that the owner created. I have bought a vegan clear lipgloss in the past from another brand but not only was the bottle small it started to leak out somehow. Yvaexpression’s lipglosses also have a stronger gloss look than the last brand I used.

They have many other colors of lipglosses but they also offer lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blushes, and many more items. There is a lot to choose from and, I’m not one to judge a book by its cover but, lots of pretty packaging.

*Anime Based

*Vegan and cruelty-free

*Black-owned
