I scream, you scream, we all scream for nice cream!

Summer is quickly coming to an end, so why not try this quick and easy, all natural, low fat, nutritious frozen treat? The good thing about this dessert (or breakfast) is that frozen fruit is generally available in grocers’ freezers all year long, and freezing peeled bananas is simple. Just peel the bananas, put them into a freezer bag, and toss them in the freezer. Easy. The frozen bananas give the nice cream a creamy texture. If mango and strawberry aren’t your favorite fruits, you could try frozen blueberry or pineapple. Do you!

Tropical Nice Cream Recipe

(2 servings)

Ingredients

2 Whole Frozen Bananas, sliced into chunks

1 Cup Frozen Strawberry Slices

1 Cup Frozen Mangoes

1-2 Tbsp Agave Nectar or another liquid sweetener

What to do

Place the frozen fruit and agave into the jar of a high-speed blender. Blend on the fastest speed using the tamper or rubber spatula to continuously push the chunks of fruit into the blades. Blend until smooth. Try not to blend so long that the nice cream begins to melt.

Scoop the nice cream into to bowls and serve.
